North-East Fife businesspeople joined St Andrews University students, staff, members of the public and Club members to hear the stories of several of Scotland’s most
St Andrews Business Club is exactly what the title states! It is an association of people engaged in business who want to be involved in the furthering the interests of St Andrews.
Our strength is the breadth of our membership, who as individuals are involved in a wide range of business interests, local, national and in some instances global.
We see our goal as complementary to the other business associations in St Andrews, and have the broad objective of helping to stimulate interest in business enterprise for the benefit of the local economy, recognising the strengths and advantages of St Andrews locally and the brand influence of the St Andrews name throughout the world.
St Andrews Business Club has been in existence for sixty years, and during its history it has attracted many prominent speakers from different walks of life, including such names as Sir Menzies Campbell MP, Andy Irvine, Tom Farmer and AB Paterson.
We hold between 8 and 10 events a year. These events are typically held as breakfast meetings, with the intent of finishing by 9.15 am, or also sometimes in the early evening, so that we can minimise the time impact on our business activities. Occasional social events are also staged.
We are always keen to welcome new participants and members, who have the same desire to see St Andrews continue to flourish, and who may also bring a different perspective on business, the current issues that we face and the opportunities that are there to be grasped. It is also an excellent networking opportunity, and we always seek to impart an element of humour and fun into the proceedings.
So, if you wish to become involved or simply find out more about what we do, please feel free to contact us using the button above. We look forward to hearing from you!
